Sunday

It's Sunday (August 3rd) and it's 7am; one day, I'd like to sleep till the alarm goes off. I sort and straighten out all the items, photos and autographs that I've collect over the past 4 days. I put on the blue dress that I got at the Roddenberry booth, uuummm, it's a little short. So I put on my Star Trek blue bathrobe over it, much better. When we went downstairs, I also grabbed my new tribble Bak-u-la. So, I can say that I did wear a costume (of sorts).

First up for the day Harlan Ellison and Walter Koenig; I never miss Walter. Found out that they've been very good friends for years. They have had quite the adventures together. Harlan is getting quite a lot of couch time at this convention ;).

Next up, Rod Roddenberry (for a 2nd time and that's fine with me), this panel is on "Mission Log". Mission Log is a podcast with hosts John Champion and Ken Ray. I'll be downloading the past podcasts shortly. You can check them out here http://www.missionlogpodcast.com.

Now the whole time I've been sitting here, I've been trying to make sure that the dress, is staying down and that the robe is covering certain body parts, I'm losing the battle. So, Bak is planted in my lap. Then we get Steve, Casey and Vaughn, they are the Entrprise Blues Band. They talk about the band, the different series they were on and the characters they played. Vaughn holds the record for total characters that anyone in Star Trek has played; I believe it is 21. And Casey mentioned his death scene on DS9; "Since I'm going to die, might as well make it a GREAT death".

The Enterprise Blues Boys.

I've got a slight break till William Shatner comes on, so I head to the room to put on my pj bottoms; that dress keeps on creeping upward. Now there's been speculation as to will Bill be in a wheelchair or not. See, he got thrown from his horse recently and he had been in a wheelchair. Well, he came out using just one crutch. Bill has always been a great speaker and story teller. He talked about his horse throwing him and how Priceline really does work. He and his wife had to use it when the car that was taking them to an airport got a flat. His wife got Priceline on the phone, rebooked their flight all before the replacement car got there. And he talked about several projects that he is currently working on.

The Fly Boy himself: William Shatner.

We had about a two hour lull before Camille Saviola was due on. So we took, one last trip to the vendors area. On our way there, I walk past Jim Hickman, who I had met on Saturday. He said, "You're the one wearing the bathrobe, cool! People are talking about you." He said it with a smile, so I hope that's a good thing. We looked around the vendors room and then went upstairs for lunch.

We came back down about 3:40, to hear Camille. She is a very interesting person, with quite the career. I love the fact that people share stories that mean a lot to them, we get to hear about their background and get their thoughts on what Star Trek means to them.

Up next is Jim Metzler, Tiny Ron Taylor and Eric Pierpoint; we'll be getting all their autographs in a bit. They were the last panel of the convention, but far from the last event. Next is the "Guys" Autograph session: John B, Steven R, Eric P, Vaughn A, Jim M & Tiny R. Now the guys, took longer then the girls; it took us 2 hours to get through 5 guys.

Lifetimes of Da Boys.

So it's now like 8:00pm, and we wait for our number (43) to be called, to see if we can upgrade our seats for 2015. While were sitting there, we're talking about dinner. I get on my phone, logged into Open Table, and got us a 9pm reservation at the Grille, everything else was booked; and we still had the Rat Pack at 9:30pm. We were only able to upgrade, (of sorts) my sit. I went from seat number E25, to E28. Yes, that's and upgrade. I'm now to the right of Deb and Rob, instead of the left. Adam said that they had a recorded breaking amount of people sign up for 2015. People had the same thought we did; sign up for 2015, and that gaurantees you a decent seat for 2016.

As we were walking to the resturant, another girl was also on Open Table making reservations for later at another restuarant. We were both like, "gotta love the Open Table App!" We get to the Grille about 8:45, checked in and they said, it'll be about 10 minutes. Deb and Rob go upstairs and change clothes and drop their stuff. I waited downstairs. It was a longer wait for those who did not have a reservation.

We ate dinner, and then about 9:40 Deb and I headed back towards the concert and Rob went upstairs. Deb and I went and said our "Thanks and Goodbyes to Chris", and also to get one of those famous Chris hugs. He gives great hugs. I thought for sure they would start the show late, nope, they started on time. Max Grodenchik writes all the songs for the show; they are brand new each year. They all look handsome in thier tuxedos. For me, Casey and Jeffery are very yummy. We sat in a couple of different spots, this concert was a free for all. I was surprised that no one was up dancing. The highlight for a lot of people was that the surprise guest was James Darren, who was actually associated with the original Rat Pack.

Star Trek Rat Pack.

They finished up about 10:30ish. And afterwards, Steve and Vaughn had Enterprise Blues Band CDs for sale. The had two different CDs and we each got both of them. They were already autographed, so that saved us each more then $100 of future autograph money. The CDs were a bargin at $20.00 each. The sad part was that the convention is now OFFICIALLY over. :(((((.

On our way out, We stopped and thanked Stephanie Dizon and express a big THANK YOU to everyone at Creation for all they do. Now it was time to go upstairs and drop. There was no setting the alarm, get up whenever.
